DNA

One of the new features of the AHTA database is the ability to add genetic test results directly from your dog’s Embark raw data. Embark provides a downloadable data file containing your dog’s genetic results. That data file can be uploaded and read by the database, allowing supported genetic information to be added directly to the dog’s record.

This may include information such as:

  • ADAMTS17 (PLL)
  • Inbreeding
  • Red Pigment Intensity
  • Brown or Black Pigment
  • Color Dilution
  • Hidden Patterning
  • Body Pattern
  • Furnishings
  • Coat Length

Because the information can be read directly from the Embark data file, it gives us a much more efficient way to include verified genetic information in the database without manually entering each result. This information can also be entered manually from a link or physical copy of your test results.

Not every dog will have genetic information displayed. It will only appear when genetic data has been provided and added to that dog’s record.
